About The Position

In this role, you will provide technical leadership and engineering support to help maintain the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our gas transmission system. Working closely with field and regional teams, you will manage operational risk, resolve complex equipment and reliability issues, and develop practical solutions that enhance both day-to-day operations and long-term system performance. Requirements

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• 7+ years of engineering experience within the pipeline or oil and gas industry.
• Understanding of CFR 192 and have working knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, engineering practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with natural gas design and operations, supported by a background in pipeline integrity, reliability, or operational engineering.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide effective oversight across concurrent projects, technical activities, and operational requests.
• Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, technology, and team leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively across field and office environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to field teams while identifying opportunities to improve processes, procedures, and day-to-day operations.
• Apply CFR 192 (the U.S. federal safety standards governing the transportation of natural and other gas by pipeline, issued by the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration [PHMSA]), company requirements, and relevant industry standards to support engineering decisions, material selection, testing, and safe operations.
• Review projects, procedures, pipeline crossings, encroachments, and gas-handling plans to manage operational risk and protect pipeline integrity.
• Investigate equipment failures, operational concerns, and reliability issues, then develop practical and sustainable engineering solutions.
• Support project scope development, budget planning, audits, technical documentation, and internal or external information requests.
• Share engineering expertise across regional teams and provide timely technical support during emergency-response situations.
