About The Position

The Pipeline Engineer will be responsible for developing the detail design of pipelines, including mechanical design, on-bottom stability, anodes, pipeline alignment, crossings, and tie-ins, as applicable for any offshore pipeline installation. This role involves developing detailed design specifications for the construction and installation of offshore pipelines and actively participating in the project team for design engineering support for upstream and downstream facilities. The engineer will also prepare specifications, construction, and installation packages for offshore pipelines, work alongside project managers and Lead Design Engineers for optimizing designs, and create three-dimensional virtual models of pipeline installations. The position also requires carrying out multi-tasking activities and ensuring HSE and QMS requirements are met.

Requirements

• Graduate Engineer Mechanical specialized in offshore installation/Engineering
• 5 years working experience in Pipeline Design
• Knowledge of Auto Pipe/ Offpipe preferred
• Exposure to soil survey, soil analysis and its interpretation as relevant to pipeline design.
• Multitasking skills
• English language proficiency
• General computer skills as for the work requirement and exposure to various pipeline design packages.

Responsibilities

• Develop detail design of pipeline including pipeline mechanical design, on bottom stability, anodes, pipeline alignment, crossings, tie-in etc. as applicable for any offshore pipeline installation.
• Develop detailed design specifications for construction and installation of offshore pipelines.
• Actively participate in project team for design engineering support for upstream and downstream facilities.
• Prepare specifications, construction, and installation packages for offshore pipelines to include pipeline design, route selection, and installation of welded steel pipe etc.
• Working alongside the project managers, Lead Design Engineers for optimizing designs and facilities to provide reliable and cost-effective pipeline design.
• Create three-dimensional virtual models (as required) of the pipeline installations including topographic and other criteria to allow the company to predict any potential problem areas during the pipe laying procedures.
• Carry out multi-tasking activities as per job needs.
• To look after HSE requirements.
• Comply to QMS requirements.
