About The Position

Based in Irvine, CA, the Senior Piercer will report to the Studio Manager and will execute piercing services within the Studio while also being a piercing subject matter expert and mentor for the Studio team. In this role, you will help develop the piercing knowledge and skills of your studio’s talent to ensure they consistently deliver exceptional customer service. You will also partner with management to implement strategies that drive revenue to help your Studio meet their goals, while maintaining a safe environment for both employees and customers.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of piercing experience at Studs (Apprentice experience does not count).
  • Internal candidates must also be in Good Standing to apply.
  • Must maintain open availability and be able to work 30-40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays, to pierce a minimum of 19 appointments a day.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods of time up to 8+ hours.
  • Able to lift, carry, and move at least 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to handle chemicals safely.
  • Must be able to visually inspect ear anatomy to execute advanced piercings.
  • Must be able to deliver piercings with a steady hand.
  • Driven, creative problem solver that consistently acts with integrity and speaks up.
  • Owner’s mindset, with the ability to approach feedback and problems with a positive attitude.
  • Strong business acumen and can help foster teamwork between Piercers and Earbar team members.
  • Patient and effective communicator that can deliver trainings and accommodate different learning styles.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed expectations and targets, embodying a performance-oriented culture.
  • Partner with the Studio Manager to implement strategies to improve key business metrics like piercing throughput and AOV to achieve sales plans while maintaining high safety standards.
  • Deliver smooth piercings with expert troubleshooting abilities.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, welcoming and educating clients on the Studs’ piercing and shopping experience.
  • Support service recovery and de-escalate customer situations as needed.
  • Provide excellent bedside manner with empathetic, confident, clear, and professional communication with clients.
  • Identify and escalate client feedback to improve the overall experience.
  • Protect the piercing experience to ensure overall safety and satisfaction for the Piercing Team and clients.
  • Leverage Studs’ policies and resources in decision-making.
  • Balance analysis, experience, and integrity when making decisions for the overall business.
  • Ensure client experience and work safety standards are met by being well-versed in piercing operating procedures and regulations.
  • Partner with the Studio Manager and Compliance partner to ensure the studio is always inspection-ready.
  • Own auditing and submission of detailed record keeping, including all maintenance, sterilized inventory, and tools.
  • Own sterilization levels of piercing inventory and piercing supply orders to ensure correct on-hand levels that support business needs.
  • Lead by example and model behavior for the Studio team.
  • Act as manager in the building when the Studio Manager and Assistant Studio Manager are not present.
  • Participate in Piercer Roundtables to provide valuable input on new Studs’ initiatives and cascade relevant information to the home studio.
  • Prioritize Studio compliance and be accountable to company policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Admit mistakes and escalate when help is needed.
  • Live out Studs’ Core Values.
  • Develop piercing talent in the home studio by delivering scheduled trainings and coaching via 1:1s, with 12-15 hours each quarter for dedicated mentorship.
  • Provide best-in-class service consistently to everyone in the Studio.
  • Own piercing operations training for non-piercing team members and mentorship to fellow Piercers.
  • Provide solutions-oriented feedback and be open-minded to receiving it.
