The Senior Phlebotomist Processor will also assist in the Clinical Laboratory as needed. The individual will be responsible for maintaining specimen integrity, processing and handling specimens accurately and efficiently, and operating laboratory analyzers. Additionally, they will manage specimen requirements for reference labs, organize daily tasks, maintain a clean work area, and perform analyzer maintenance. Proficiency in using the LIS system for specimen tracking and ordering tests is crucial. The role also emphasizes contributing to a safe and secure environment, maintaining patient confidentiality, and adhering to professional standards and regulations, including OSHA guidelines. The ability to train on CBC and point-of-care equipment is also a key aspect of this position.
