Senior Philanthropy Officer
About The Position
The Senior Philanthropy Officer is responsible for identifying, evaluating, cultivating, and soliciting current and prospective principal gift donors and is an active participant in making strategic plans to strengthen the organization's fundraising capacity. In partnership with the Chief Philanthropy Officer, this role involves working with key team members to create proposals and asks based on the priorities of Providence Tarzana Foundation. The position requires advanced knowledge of the organization's strategic initiatives to propose initiatives and cultivation events. Key responsibilities include actively participating in budget preparation, program evaluation, and strategic planning. The role will also manage a group of assigned donors to ensure their retention and increased giving and involvement. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years Philanthropy experience.
- 5 years Fundraising experience through employee campaigns, grants, annual giving, special events and major gifts.
- Experience with personal computers.
Nice To Haves
- Planning, coordinating and supervising meetings, volunteer boards and committees.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and data base management.
