About The Position

The Senior Pharmacy Technician at Providence Seaside Hospital performs duties related to filling and dispensing unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to nursing units and other ancillary departments promptly and accurately. This role involves filling/dispensing oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders, and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS). The technician possesses advanced knowledge and skills in two or more specialty areas within the pharmacy. Requirements

H.S. Diploma or GED
Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire
Oregon Pharmacy Technician License Upon Hire
Minimum of 2 years (> 4160 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and PTCB certification
OR 3 years (> 6240 hours) hospital pharmacy if technician does not have PTCB certification
Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs)
Previous experience with electronic health records (EHR)

Nice To Haves

Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program
Advanced PTCB certificate (e.g., compounded sterile products, advanced certified pharmacy technician, medication history certificate, controlled substances)
Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable by role and state

Responsibilities
