The Senior Pharmacy Sales Executive - Specialty leverages targeted geographic analysis and engages with Physician offices to influence physicians to route patients' prescriptions to Humana Pharmacy for fulfillment. This role involves moderately complex to complex issues where in-depth evaluation of variable factors is required. The executive focuses on increasing orders to Humana Pharmacy, resulting in increased prescriptions and revenues, and begins to influence department strategy. Decisions on technical approaches for project components are made without direction, exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches. The position manages a sales territory that includes CenterWell, a Humana-owned brand offering Primary Care, Home Health, and Pharmacy services. Responsibilities include building relationships with front and back-office staff through sales calls, providing education on patient use of Specialty Pharmacy medications, and becoming a knowledgeable resource on specialty pharmacy medications and Humana pharmacy benefits.
