About The Position

The Senior Pharmacy Sales Executive - Specialty leverages targeted geographic analysis and engages with Physician offices to influence physicians to route patients' prescriptions to Humana Pharmacy for fulfillment. This role involves moderately complex to complex issues where in-depth evaluation of variable factors is required. The executive focuses on increasing orders to Humana Pharmacy, resulting in increased prescriptions and revenues, and begins to influence department strategy. Decisions on technical approaches for project components are made without direction, exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches. The position manages a sales territory that includes CenterWell, a Humana-owned brand offering Primary Care, Home Health, and Pharmacy services. Responsibilities include building relationships with front and back-office staff through sales calls, providing education on patient use of Specialty Pharmacy medications, and becoming a knowledgeable resource on specialty pharmacy medications and Humana pharmacy benefits. Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible, dynamic personality who works well in a team environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partnering business segments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Must be comfortable with being in the field 5 days/week within territory lines, and occasional overnight travel as needed.
  • Must live within the defined sales territory or willing to relocate at your own expense.
  • Attendance at offsite team meetings, which could require flights and overnight travel.
  • This role is part of Humana's Fleet Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to take possession of a company fleet vehicle & have a valid state driver's license.
  • Candidates must currently reside in the Sacramento/San Francisco area.
