The Senior Pharmacy Buyer is responsible for managing essential supplier relationships, maintaining the approved formulary list, and ensuring compliance with contract terms. This role involves planning and supervising inventory processes, purchasing materials at the lowest cost while adhering to spending limits, and analyzing inventory movement to establish PAR levels. The buyer will also review purchase orders, ensure compliance with DSCSA, monitor low-moving inventory, and conduct supplier evaluations. Additionally, this position manages pharmaceutical inventory, oversees 340b purchases and reporting, manages the borrow/loan process, and coordinates office supplies. The role involves assisting remote hospital clinics with ordering, follow-up, and delivery issues, communicating supply issues, and checking for expired medications and Joint Commission compliance. The Senior Pharmacy Buyer also oversees departmental maintenance under the supervision of the Director.
