Senior Performance Marketing Specialist

WantableMilwaukee, WI
Hybrid

About The Position

Wantable is redefining retail through personalization. As a data-driven fashion company, we combine human intuition with algorithmic intelligence to deliver personalized assortments. We're seeking a Senior Performance Marketing Specialist who thrives on ownership, turns insights into action, and is passionate about using experimentation, AI, and automation to drive measurable business growth. This role will own digital acquisition strategy and execution for the Wantable Edit subscription service, managing significant paid media spend and using platform data to make decisions that improve CAC, CPO, and ROAS. It's an opportunity to own a channel mix, mentor team members, and shape the use of AI and automation in marketing. The position operates in a fast-moving, sales-driven environment with high expectations and visible impact.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in paid digital marketing or performance-focused roles, with a track record of owning channel strategy and budget, not just campaign execution.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, Pinterest Ads, and analytics tools.
  • Experience managing agency or platform partner relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills and fluency with AI, automation tools, and spreadsheet modeling.
  • Experience mentoring or informally leading other marketers.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities independently, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a bias toward ownership in a high-autonomy environment.
  • Passion for fashion, retail, and customer experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in subscription e-commerce, DTC retail, or consumer brands.
  • Experience with GA4, Looker Studio, Tableau, or other business intelligence platforms.
  • Familiarity with creative testing frameworks and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • Experience leveraging generative AI tools to accelerate campaign development, reporting, and experimentation.
  • Working knowledge of Apple technology.
  • Familiarity with Google products (Drive, Gmail and Docs).

Responsibilities

  • Own strategy, daily execution, and optimization of paid search and paid social campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging channels.
  • Own paid media creative briefing process in partnership with internal and external creative teams, using performance data and generative AI to identify winning concepts, hooks, formats, and creator patterns; accelerate variation testing; and establish brief standards.
  • Evaluate and apply automated rules, ML-driven optimizations, and platform recommendations.
  • Stay on top of industry and platform trends and best practices, bringing new tactics and tools to the team.
  • Own spend and pacing across a significant paid media budget; catch anomalies early and make the call on adjustments.
  • Drive performance by leading projections, managing media investments against revenue targets, and optimizing channel mix, audiences, bidding strategies, and placements to improve traffic, ROI, and customer acquisition.
  • Manage budget allocation to hit weekly, monthly, and annual order and spend targets, proactively surfacing risks and opportunities.
  • Reconcile monthly paid media spend against budget and invoices, flagging and resolving discrepancies.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with media agency and platform partners, ensuring campaigns are executed efficiently and effectively.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for partner escalations, holding agencies accountable to performance commitments and timelines.
  • Design and prioritize the A/B and multivariate testing roadmap across audiences, bidding strategies, messaging, and creative.
  • Evaluate and pilot AI-powered experimentation tools, building the framework for how the team identifies fast wins and scales them.
  • Own influencer + paid social integration performance, including whitelisting strategy and creator content optimization.
  • Own performance dashboards and reporting infrastructure using GA4, Data Studio, Tableau, and spreadsheet models.
  • Build and refine AI-assisted analysis processes to detect trends, performance shifts, and optimization opportunities.
  • Present insights and recommendations weekly to marketing, creative, and analytics partners, and represent performance marketing in cross-functional planning.
  • Assess the full consumer journey for effectiveness, ensuring strong alignment between media, messaging, audience targeting, and landing page experiences.
  • Serve as the translation layer between paid media performance and CRO — partnering with the Site team to turn audience and message-level insights into landing page recommendations.
  • Partner with Lifecycle and Retention team on the integration of email, SMS, and retargeting touchpoints into the Edit acquisition funnel.
  • Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to junior performance marketing team members.
  • Serve as a thought partner to the Director of Growth on channel strategy, budget planning, and team process.
  • Help evaluate and onboard new tools, platforms, and AI capabilities for the broader team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
