About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior HR Generalist to support our diverse and rapidly scaling global workforce. This role requires a well-rounded professional capable of handling complex employee issues and compliance issues across multiple US states and international jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem-solver and become a trusted employee resource, ensuring our People Operations function is efficient, compliant, and supportive of our ambitious business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a Senior HR Generalist capacity.
  • Proven experience managing multi-state US payroll (CA, NY, etc.) and international payroll/HR administration (e.g., Canada, UK, Europe, etc.).
  • Solid working knowledge of key HR disciplines: benefits, US/international labor law, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Proficiency with HRIS/Payroll systems Gusto, Deel, Pebl (or similar) and Google Workspace.
  • Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, data validation, as well as lookup and conditional functions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, particularly concerning financial and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Must be comfortable working with a diverse, globally distributed workforce in a remote environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Experience with Lattice preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all employees.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to support the hiring process.
  • Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports to support management decision-making regarding staffing, turnover, and cost analysis.
  • Manage and execute the end-to-end payroll process for all US and international employees (including contractors) using our current payroll systems.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of salaries, deductions, taxes, and statutory contributions, adhering to local, state, federal, and international regulations.
  • Administer US benefit programs (health, dental, 401k) and coordinate with international PEOs/partners for global benefits management.
  • Maintain meticulous employee records, ensuring data integrity and compliance across all HR systems.
  • Serve as the primary internal resource for HR compliance, staying current on all relevant US labor laws (federal and state) and international employment legislation.
  • Oversee the administration of all legally mandated employee training and reporting requirements.
  • Update HR policies and employee handbooks for US and international offices, ensuring they are culturally relevant and legally compliant.
  • Awareness and support mediating and resolving disputes, disagreements, and conflicts between employees, or between employees and management.
  • Support fair, consistent, and legally compliant application of the company's disciplinary procedures, up to and including termination.
  • Support the process for employees to raise concerns, complaints, or grievances and ensure they are thoroughly investigated and addressed.
  • Serve as the expert resource for managers and employees regarding the company handbook, policies, and procedures (e.g., code of conduct, anti-harassment, PTO, etc.).
