About The Position

At Jack Morton, we create and build brand experiences that drive impact. We are looking for a Senior People Business Partner to join our team in Addison, IL, to support our North America operations as part of a global People team. This role is a "build role" for someone who sees the People function as a product to design, iterate on, and improve. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to shape how HR is delivered, including reimagining the role of AI in our people operations.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive HR/People experience.
  • At least 3 years as a business partner to senior leaders.
  • Experience in agency, creative, professional services, or another fast-moving, project-based environment is strongly preferred.
  • A builder mindset with experience in building or rebuilding processes, programs, or ways of working.
  • Strong command of core HR functions: employee relations, performance management, compensation basics, employment law, and organizational design.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and change; M&A or post-merger integration experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on, regular use of AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) as part of your workflow.
  • Ideally, early experience designing AI into team or function operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-SCP / SPHR certification is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with North America business leaders to build healthy, high-performing teams in a creative, project-driven agency environment.
  • Advise leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, talent strategy, and performance management.
  • Manage the employee lifecycle for client groups, including onboarding, development, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding, identifying and fixing areas of inefficiency or pain.
  • Coach managers to improve their leadership skills with direct, specific, and useful guidance.
  • Drive talent and succession planning conversations aligned with future business direction.
  • Lead and support change initiatives during the integration of Impact XM and Jack Morton.
  • Integrate AI into People function operations, such as talent reviews and manager enablement, to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate globally with People partners in other regions to ensure a cohesive global employee experience.
