The Role contributes to the overall success of Global Payments Technology in Canada and globally, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. All activities conducted must be in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be Pega CSA and CSSA certified in any version.
• Must have experience in financial services or banking domain projects.
• Must have Hands-on with latest Pega platform versions.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, high quality Pega applications.
• Develop workflows, business rules, Integrations, UI, and case management capabilities with Pega.
• Collaborate with BA's, architects and QA teams to ensure high quality deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship and guidance to junior Pega dev’s.
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimize existing Pega applications.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in Agile development environments
• Ability to make architectural decisions, drive technical discussions, and improve team processes.

Nice To Haves

• Good to have experience in Pega financial frameworks like KYC/AML, CLM... etc.
• Eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Pega PRPC Solutions.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality Pega applications.
• Develop workflows, business rules, Integrations, UI, and case management capabilities with Pega.
• Collaborate with BA's, architects, and QA teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior Pega developers.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing Pega applications.
• Work with stakeholders to identify process automation opportunities and recommend improvements.
• Participate in code/design reviews.
• Stay up to date with the latest Pega platform features, versions, and enhancements.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Collaborate closely with product and design teams.
• Champion CI/CD best practices and improve reliability monitoring.
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
