About The Position

We are seeking our new Senior Payroll Specialist to join the Axway team! Position responsibilities include shared service payroll processing for multiple entities within the Corporate structure in a multi-state environment, producing standard and ad hoc payroll reports and providing support for audit and management purposes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Multi-state payroll experience required
  • ADP Workforce Now requires processing experience.
  • Latitude for independent judgment

Responsibilities

  • Process multi-state, semi-monthly payroll utilizing ADP Workforce Now for US employees
  • Process multi-region, monthly payroll utilizing Sage / Access Payroll outsourcing for Australia employees
  • Verify all personnel changes imported from HRIS
  • Assist employees with payroll inquiries and issue resolution
  • Process monthly commission, annual bonus payments, annual salary increases, stock compensation income, and all other adjustments to standard salaries
  • Import and review expense reimbursement from the expense reporting system (Concur) to the payroll system
  • Review all changes input into the payroll system and maintain evidence that those changes are timely, accurate, complete, and properly authorized
  • Provide journal entry support and collaborate with the accounting team for the semi-monthly payrolls, vacation accruals, and benefit allocations
  • In coordination with ADP, monitor compliance with federal and state payroll tax laws and regulations, as well as state unemployment insurance tax requirements
  • Support the audit process for annual 401K, workers’ compensation, and financial audits
  • Calculate and manage severance payments, employee advances, and 401 (k) loans
  • Manage year-end processes with ADP, including employee and government reporting
  • Manage and communicate the annual payroll calendars with employees and ADP
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information
  • Escalate issues as necessary to the manager
  • Create ad-hoc payroll reports for management
  • Other duties as assigned
