About The Position

Takkion Ops Management is seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Senior Payroll Analyst with expertise in prevailing wage and union payroll. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering and processing payroll activities in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This role is critical in maintaining the financial integrity of the company and supporting our employees. This role reports to the Senior Payroll Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in payroll processing, with a focus on prevailing wage and union payroll
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
  • Experience with certified payroll reporting and union payroll processing
  • Familiarity with Paylocity or similar payroll systems

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process weekly payroll for all employees, including prevailing wage and union payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage and process wage garnishments, deductions, and benefits.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of prevailing wage laws and regulations.
  • Ensure accurate calculation and timely payment of prevailing wages for applicable projects.
  • Prepare, review and submit certified payroll reports in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Administer union payroll in accordance with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Calculate and process union dues, benefits, and other withholdings.
  • Liaise with union representatives to resolve payroll-related issues.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate payroll records and reports.
  • Perform regular payroll reconciliations and audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation.
  • Respond to and resolve payroll-related inquiries in a timely professional manner.
  • Provide guidance on payroll policies and procedures to payroll team members.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and other departments to support seamless payroll operations.
  • Participate in cross-training initiatives to ensure team flexibility and continuity of payroll processes.
  • Other duties as needed or assigned.
