About The Position

The Senior Payroll Analyst role supports complex payroll processing, reporting, and tax compliance for EFCO’s U.S. and Canadian operations, ensuring accuracy across payroll systems, supporting audits, and contributing to continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business required.
  • 4–6 years of payroll experience with multi-state and/or Canadian payrolls preferred.
  • Experience with tax filings and year-end processing required.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with payroll systems required.
  • Must have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Proficiently uses job-specific tools, systems, and procedures to perform tasks effectively.
  • Breaks down complex information to identify patterns, relationships, and root causes.
  • Makes sound decisions by evaluating facts, risks, and potential outcomes.
  • Takes ownership of actions, tasks, and outcomes; follows through on commitments.
  • Communicates effectively verbally and in writing, producing clear, concise, and professional content and adapting style to audience and setting.
  • Ability to regularly perform all job functions at company office or worksite
  • Ability to withstand environmental conditions such as extreme heat or cold, grass, wind, sand, fumes, odors, gases, noises. Etc.

  • CPP designation preferred or in progress.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and audit complex biweekly payrolls, validate earnings, deductions, and taxes, and ensure timely and accurate pay delivery across jurisdictions.
  • Support payroll system upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Identify improvement opportunities for workflows, controls, and reporting.
  • Assist with multi-jurisdictional payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and year-end processing, including W-2s and T4s.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute payroll reports for finance, HR, and leadership.
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
  • Prepare payroll audit documentation and support internal and external audit processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of payroll actions and approvals.
  • Additional duties may be assigned to meet organizational goals and priorities.
