About The Position

Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C., a nationally recognized law firm with a dynamic and growing presence, is seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to join our team in our Florham Park, New Jersey office. This role will be responsible for managing the firm’s payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all payroll processes. The Senior Payroll Administrator will work closely with Human Resources, Finance, and leadership to support payroll administration for both the firm and its affiliated Comprehensive Services operations. The ideal candidate is a highly detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced professional services environment and brings strong expertise in payroll systems, compliance, and process improvement.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of payroll experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems.
  • Understanding of payroll compliance, tax regulations, and multi-state payroll requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage Semi-Monthly payroll for approximately 225 employees across multiple entities.
  • Ensure accurate payroll processing, including wages, bonuses, deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and operational leadership, including ADP Comprehensive Services, to ensure accurate payroll administration and reporting.
  • Administer payroll through ADP Workforce Now, ensuring data integrity and proper system utilization.
  • Review and reconcile payroll reports, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Manage payroll-related employee inquiries and provide clear, professional guidance on payroll matters.
  • Support year-end payroll processes including W-2 preparation, audits, and reconciliations.
  • Assist with payroll reporting, analytics, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure confidentiality and integrity of payroll and employee data at all times.
