About The Position

Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a longstanding Arkansas-based organization to identify an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to join their accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to take the lead in managing complex payroll processes while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent service across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring both technical payroll knowledge and strong interpersonal skills — someone who is comfortable collaborating across departments and mentoring team members while maintaining efficient, compliant, and precise payroll operations.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including multi-state processing.
  • In-depth understanding of payroll laws, wage reporting, and account reconciliation.
  • Prior experience with enterprise-level payroll systems (SAP, SuccessFactors, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines and maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with payroll system integrations or ERP conversions.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with payroll reporting tools.
  • Supervisory or team lead experience in a payroll or accounting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and process multi-cycle payroll, including salaries, benefits, deductions, and tax withholdings.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local wage and employment laws.
  • Reconcile payroll and benefit accounts monthly, coordinating closely with accounting.
  • Partner with HR on compensation changes, budgeting, and reporting needs.
  • Manage payroll-related audits, documentation, and reporting processes.
  • Recommend and implement payroll system or process improvements as needed.
  • Provide guidance, training, and feedback to payroll and administrative staff.
  • Support ongoing payroll reporting, forecasting, and special projects.
