Explore this opportunity: Senior Patient Registrar - Radiology Scheduling - Day Register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, and feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. In this role, you'll obtain demographic details and insurance information, and ensure proper scheduling. You'll record patient history while obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients. Most importantly, you will be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience. This is a full time day Monday through Friday with varied hours of 8:00AM to 4:00PM position. This position provides support to all radiology locations for NYP-Hudson Valley Hospital 1980 Crompond Rd, Cortlandt Manor, NY, including 35 S. Riverside Avenue, Croton-on-Hudson, NY and 1756 NY-9D, Cold Spring, NY offsite locations with Hudson Valley Hospital being the home base.

Requirements

  • At least one year of clerical experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first
  • Detailed oriented
  • Able to problem solve and work independently
  • Ability to multi-task and perform various registration duties on demand
  • Willingness to cover all areas as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of hospital procedures, routines, regulations and medical terminology
  • Completed some college coursework
  • Familiar with health insurance requirements
  • Experience with Prior Authorizations
  • Epic Experience
