ProHealth Physicians has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient-focused and detail-oriented Senior Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing Family Medicine team. The position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. This position will support the care team and its patients by greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, answering telephone inquiries, collecting payments and maintaining demographic information. Additionally, they will routinely use the electronic health record (EHR) according to ProHealth policies and standard workflows. Will be expected to oversee all front desk staff and support Practice Manager. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm Location: 52 Peck Road, Torrington, CT 06790

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of administrative experience in a medical setting with demonstrated leadership competency
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a primary care setting
  • Experience working with Epic

Responsibilities

  • Support the care team and patients by greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, answering in person and telephonic inquiries, collecting payments and maintaining demographic information
  • Oversee and support administrative staff in front office processes
  • Work collaboratively with the Practice Manager to manage staff schedules and coverage
  • Conduct or participate in scheduled practice meetings and daily briefs
  • Oversee critical processes such as active daily schedule management and PCI compliance
  • Assist in the handling of patient complaints
  • Participate with Practice Manager in new staff selection and hiring and on-boarding of new Medical Receptionists
  • Conduct on-site new staff administrative training
  • Participate in organizational initiatives and projects including workflow improvement initiatives
  • Provide coverage at other ProHealth locations on an ad hoc basis
  • Perform other duties as assigned
