About The Position

Crouch Community Church is seeking a Senior Pastor to lead the Church towards the fulfillment of its purpose as taught in the Scriptures and as stated in the Church Constitution. The Senior Pastor is responsible for preaching the Word of God, leading the Church in evangelism, teaching God’s Word, and overseeing the teaching ministries of the Church along with the elders. This role involves supervising church staff, maintaining ongoing discipleship with them, and being available to the congregation and community for counsel, visitation, and funerals. The Senior Pastor may officiate weddings at his discretion and is expected to participate in the community of Crouch/Garden Valley in keeping with Church goals, as time allows. Additionally, the Senior Pastor is required to attend at least one conference annually at the Church's expense, with conferences approved by the Elders Committee.

Requirements

  • A man of true Christian experience and established character.
  • Qualify for office according to the standards of 1 Timothy 3:2-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
  • Experience in and a zeal for the work of pastoral ministry.
  • Ability to work on a team towards specific goals in an edifying and supporting manner.
  • Demonstrate a teachable attitude so that he can adjust to the differences in culture that this area may present.
  • Committed to the Statement of Faith of Crouch Community Church (Article V of Church Constitution) without reservation.
  • Support the goals and purpose of this Church.
  • The Senior Pastor and his wife are considered members of the Church when he begins the work of leading this ministry.
  • Provide a resume.
  • Answer specific questions about fit, ministry experience, and theology.
  • Provide a link to at least one online message.

Responsibilities

  • Preach the Word of God to the mutual edification of the Church.
  • Lead the Church in evangelism.
  • Teach and preach God’s Word.
  • Oversee, along with the elders, the teaching ministries of the Church.
  • Supervise the work of the Church staff.
  • Maintain ongoing discipleship with church staff.
  • Be available to the congregation and the community for counsel, visitation, and funerals as able.
  • Officiate weddings at his discretion.
  • Participate in the community of Crouch/Garden Valley in keeping with Church goals, as time allows.
  • Attend at least one conference each year at Church expense, approved by the Elders Committee.
  • Be intricately involved in the activities of the Families of the Crouch Community Church Body.
  • Use individual spiritual gifts and utilize the spiritual gifts of volunteers.
  • Oversee all programs and activities such as Sunday School, V.B.S. or other similar activities like a Christmas program.
  • Promote entire family events and outings.
  • Participate in non-church community activities with involvement & presence such as Schools, Chamber activities, Payette Forward, Community Library, etc.
  • Recruit & retain volunteers within the Crouch Community Church body.
  • Develop the spiritual attributes of the youth to enable them to take an active part in the Church Body during the worship time.
  • Promote cross-generational relationships.
  • Collaborate with the Elder Board to promote unity and growth throughout the entire congregation.
  • Lead with the Elder Board as an integral part in the spiritual growth of the entire Church.
  • Maintain open communication with congregation continuously.
  • Treat all with love, patience, kindness, respect and compassion.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Participate in an annual performance review with Elder Board.
  • Perform other duties as required.
