About The Position

The Senior Paralegal will be responsible for providing comprehensive paralegal and case management support for active matters. This role involves answering and documenting calls from a claimant hotline, conducting follow-up communications, gathering factual information, and maintaining accurate case records. The Senior Paralegal will also be responsible for organizing and tracking documents, searching databases for related matters, and supporting litigation efforts.

Requirements

  • Requires paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study, or an equivalent level of legal training or experience; or an equivalent level of education may be substituted.
  • At least two years of litigation paralegal experience or project experience is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with claimants and members of the public.
  • Ability to conduct intake and follow-up conversations to gather relevant facts and information.
  • Strong note-taking, documentation, and recordkeeping skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage large volumes of records, documents, and claimant-related information.
  • Experience supporting litigation, case management, and maintenance of case-related files and materials.
  • Ability to search databases, identify related matters, and organize information for reference or investigative support.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and document calls received through the claimant hotline.
  • Conduct follow-up communications with individuals who have submitted complaints or concerns.
  • Gather facts and claimant-provided information without making claimant determinations or independent assessments.
  • Maintain accurate case records, notes, documentation, and supporting materials.
  • Organize, store, and track documents received from claimants, respondents, and other sources.
  • Provide traditional paralegal and case-management support for active matters.
  • Search databases for prior or similar complaints, related matters, and comparable complaint patterns.
