Senior PACS Imaging Technician

About The Position

Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise PACS Administrator, this individual is expected to provide exemplary technical support to internal and external customers by performing a wide variety of tasks utilizing digital and Picture Archive Communication Systems (PACS) technology and all associated applications. This person will assist in full management and support of all radiology electronic systems, including but not limited to PACS, PowerScribe; the PowerConnect and Stratus software suites, View Point, Vitrea, Syngo.via, Radimetrics, and Viz.AI. This person is expected to facilitate the training of onboarding radiologists; as well as technologists, referring physicians and other clinical users. This person will be responsible for participating in the implementation of additions and changes within the organization and radiology associated applications, including software and hardware. This person will act as a liaison among the Radiology and Information Systems departments. Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, nursing and ancillary departments
  • Problem solving to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; and oral and written skills
  • Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and exhibit sound and accurate judgment
  • Uses time efficiently, reacts well under pressure, treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position
  • Working knowledge of the radiology department and related equipment
  • Proficient in the Microsoft suite of software
  • Communication skills to effectively train and guide staff within the department
  • Understands system development and displays organizational skills
  • With consideration to age, employee utilizes the approved process to resolve biophysical, psychological, educational, and environment needs of all persons when administering care
