About The Position
Haas Automation seeks Senior Packaging Engineers in Oxnard, CA. This role involves providing innovative packaging solutions in a timely manner for the packaging of large machinery/components to national and international customers independently. The engineer will develop and design solutions for packaging Haas machines and accessories for shipping, ensuring proper design protocols and procedures are followed. Key responsibilities include effectively communicating design decisions, staying updated on new packaging trends, materials, and technology, creating and implementing Engineering Change Requests, maintaining a task schedule, holding deadlines, and taking full ownership of assigned projects. The role may involve acting as a lead to junior employees within the department.
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Packaging Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field plus 3 years of related experience.
- Requires 3 years of experience with Packaging design for national shipping.
- Requires 3 years of experience with Packaging design for international shipping.
- Requires 3 years of experience with the full design process from concept, prototype, testing, and production.
- Requires ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations in English.
- Requires ability to write analytical and/or technical reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and create instructional reference materials.
- Requires ability to apply principles of logical and scientific thinking as well as working with a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Requires ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism such as formulas, scientific equations, graphs, and musical notes.
- Requires ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
- Requires ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Requires ability to apply concepts of arithmetic, algebra, and geometry.
- Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations in English.
- Must be able to write analytical and/or technical reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and create instructional reference material.
- Able to speak effectively before groups, customers, employees of the organization and/or the general public.
