This role provides cost-effective engineering designs and specifications for filling plants and special gases operations across multiple global regions. The engineer will develop and implement automation technologies to enhance productivity and safety, aligned with Plant of the Future initiatives. They will define, develop, and standardize new and existing product lines for regional replication, and lead and provide functional guidance to a global team of segment engineers and technical managers. The position involves sharing best practices and delivering training on special gases filling principles, fuel-oxidiser mixtures, and assessments across regions. The engineer will lead harmonization activities and cross-regional teams focused on dry ice production, recovery, and laboratory automation. They will specify equipment engineering requirements and support regional projects, including process improvements and major facility upgrades. The role also involves providing engineering expertise for new plant installations and filling systems, ensuring safety, service, and cost objectives are met. Coordination of global communication channels to foster best practice sharing and collaboration among engineers is expected. Technical reviews, such as hazard and operability studies for new and existing plants, will be performed. The engineer will drive the development and implementation of state-of-the-art filling technologies and harmonized standards in collaboration with safety and center of excellence teams, and develop solutions to reduce gas losses and improve operational efficiency.
