About The Position

Workday is seeking a hardworking, innovative, and collaborative Senior HCM Functional Consultant to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of the Workday HCM solution with customers through product and implementation expertise. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience implementing or supporting HRIS systems, requirements capturing, configuration, data conversion, and testing. The role requires a detail-oriented, self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented individual who can successfully partner with customers and their project team. The position involves mastering HCM Core and at least one other product in the HCM suite (Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Paradox, HiredScore, Talent Management, or Learning). Responsibilities include understanding client business requirements, configuring the Workday solution, demonstrating configurations through prototype systems, assisting clients with testing, helping to convert legacy data into Workday, and assisting the Integration team with configuring and testing integrations. Consultants are expected to understand and utilize Workday’s Implementation Methodology, ensure clients leverage Workday’s proven solutions, and mentor other consultants. The role also requires the ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Requirements

  • Prior experience leading Workday implementations is a MUST
  • A minimum of 3+ years implementing at least one of the following HCM solutions: HCM Core, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent Management, Learning (for Senior role)
  • A minimum of 7+ years implementing at least one of the following HCM solutions: HCM Core, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, HiredScore, Paradox, Talent Management, or Learning (for Principal role)
  • Previous consulting experience with a consulting/software company required
  • Proven project management experience
  • Functional experience - HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent Management and/or Learning
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities
  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience deploying multiple HCM projects simultaneously a plus
  • Workday HCM Certification a plus
  • A passion for customer service

Responsibilities

  • Master HCM Core and at least one other product in the HCM product suite (Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Paradox, HiredScore, Talent Management, or Learning)
  • Understand client business requirements
  • Configure the Workday solution

  • Assist the client in testing the Workday solution

  • Assist the Integration team in helping to configure and test integrations between Workday and third party/custom solutions
  • Understand Workday’s Implementation Methodology and use it on all engagements
  • Ensure the client takes advantage of Workday’s proven solutions
  • Mentor and share product knowledge with other consultants
