Our long-life, balanced portfolio combines stable cash flows from low-decline production with a deep, high-quality development inventory. Crescent is a top three producer (by gross operated production) in the Eagle Ford basin. Crescent’s leadership is an experienced team of investment, financial and industry professionals that combines proven investment and operating expertise. For more than a decade, Crescent and our predecessors have executed on a consistent strategy focused on cash flow, risk management and returns. Through disciplined and accretive investments, we have successfully tripled the size of our company since going public in December 2021 while maintaining a strong balance sheet. Crescent Energy is hiring a Senior Operations Planning & Scheduling Analyst to own and continuously improve the integrated development schedule in Actenum DSO and to enable the recurring planning cadence that depends on that schedule (weekly updates, scenario planning, monthly schedule lock, and schedule-driven reporting). This is a high-impact role on a lean planning team where accurate scheduling, clean data, and clear cross-functional communication directly drive forecast quality and business decisions. You will work closely with planning engineers by asset, the capital forecasting analyst, OFI/tooling owners, corporate database and FP&A partners, and other stakeholders to ensure schedule changes are captured quickly and reliably — and that the schedule feeds downstream analytics and monthly forecast processes. The ideal candidate is highly data savvy, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across teams to keep schedules accurate, current, and decision-ready. How This Role Fits on the Team The Operations Planning team supports multiple assets and corporate processes. This role is the schedule + schedule-driven data hub, partnering daily with: Planning Engineers (by asset/region) for well readiness, timing, and development plan changes Capital Forecasting for timing-driven capex forecasting workflows Offset Frac Interference / analytics tool owners for schedule-driven downtime/impact modeling and visibility Corporate FP&A / reporting for consistent monthly and quarterly rollups

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geoscience, Business, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in upstream oil & gas planning, scheduling, development planning, D&C/operations coordination, or similar.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to run weekly/monthly cadences with high data integrity.
  • Strong communication skills — able to coordinate across assets and functions and translate schedule changes into clear updates.
  • Advanced Excel skills; comfort working with structured datasets and reconciling inconsistencies.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with Actenum DSO (or comparable scheduling tools).
  • Experience with Spotfire and/or Power BI (dashboard creation, maintenance, and stakeholder-ready outputs).
  • SQL experience (querying, validation, working with IT on datasets/refreshes).
  • Familiarity with upstream planning/forecast workflows and how schedule timing feeds capital/production processes (e.g., schedule-driven capex timing and model inputs).

Responsibilities

  • Integrated Development Schedule in Actenum DSO Execute weekly schedule updates and distributions, including enhanced communications and schedule views that improve stakeholder visibility (e.g., readiness links/visuals).
  • Build schedule change scenarios / what-if analyses and implement approved changes, including adding/removing developments or wells, adjusting milestone logic, durations, and dependencies.
  • Maintain strong relationships and communication loops with asset teams so schedule updates reflect decisions quickly and accurately.
  • Enable the Monthly Planning / Forecast Cadence (Schedule “Lock” + Inputs) Support the monthly X+Y forecast cycle (e.g., “5+7”, “4+8”) by locking the schedule for the reporting period and producing schedule-driven inputs used across the business.
  • Run schedule exports/pulls to support downstream workflows (including OFI-related pulls, model input file updates, and recurring slide/report generation).
  • Participate in and support the month’s accrual / close rhythm by ensuring schedule and supporting datasets are complete and consistent for forecast inputs and variance review.
  • Schedule-Driven Reporting, KPI Tracking, and Visibility Maintain and improve KPI tracking and planning visibility outputs (e.g., well readiness scorecards, schedule-based checks/validations, leadership-friendly schedule views).
  • Respond to schedule-related data requests and ensure consistent definitions and trusted outputs across teams.
  • Budget & Model Refresh Support Support annual/periodic budget schedule lock and coordinate review/validation of schedule inputs (durations, costs, criteria, tagging).
  • Partner with stakeholders on timing/cost model refreshes that support planning and forecasting cycles.
  • Analytics Tooling & Data Enablement (Spotfire / Power BI / SQL) Build and maintain planning dashboards and tools (primarily Spotfire, with some content rolling into Power BI) to support cycle time, development visibility, and reporting automation.
  • Partner with IT/data teams to support reliable data flows and accessible datasets (e.g., SQL-backed sources used by dashboards and reporting tools).
  • Help improve automation and reduce manual effort in the schedule-to-reporting pipeline.
  • Cross-Functional Support (Reserves, IR, External Notifications) Support schedule needs for Reserves (e.g., 5-year schedule requirements) and Investor Relations (e.g., well counts / timing inputs for external reporting).
  • Support periodic uploads/communications tied to frac schedule notifications (as applicable).
  • System Upgrades & Continuous Improvement Lead or support periodic Actenum DSO upgrades and help drive adoption of enhanced scheduling features and new schedule views.
  • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset — regularly identifying enhancements to schedule structure, tagging, automation, and stakeholder-facing outputs.
