About The Position

The Jewish Federation of Cincinnati (JFC) is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to support the overall operational needs of the organization. This role reports to the Chief Operation Officer and will manage the Data Systems Administrator and Operations Manager. The Senior Operations Manager will collaborate with various departments including Development, Community Planning & Engagement, Jewish Community Relations Council, SAFE Cincinnati, Marketing, SBS HR, and SBS Finance. Key responsibilities include managing current processes and developing new streamlined processes across departments, leading project management initiatives, establishing client relationship management practices, overseeing grant management and development, and leading systems transition efforts. The role also involves managing data systems, including donor databases and grant management systems, ensuring data hygiene, and supporting cross-functional committees related to donor relations, gift management, and reporting. A commitment to the mission of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati and knowledge of Jewish customs and practices are important.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
  • Exceptional operational track record: proven ability to create and implement business systems and processes.
  • Passion and proven track record for finding multivalent operational problems and challenges in complex businesses, and fixing them.
  • Proven ability to create, maintain, and improve technology-enabled client process and procedure that works for clients and for the team that is delivering service.
  • Background in developing analytics for systems, process, and their intersections with finance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to develop strategies that help overcome departmental challenges and enhance the organization’s performance.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to set goals, tasks and timetables and manage workflow.
  • Must be organized, detailed and have ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with organizational strategy, commitments and goals.
  • Develop project plans, resource allocation, and timelines.
  • Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
  • Direct assigned project teams ensuring effective utilization of resources.
  • Report on the progress of projects to all stakeholders.
  • Provide detailed organizational communication plans when clinical operations are impacted.
  • Manage efforts to continuously improve client operations, internally and externally.
  • Establish robust client relationship management practices and systems.
  • Manage grant application processes.
  • Manage grant reporting and data management.
  • Work with the M&E team on alignment of metrics.
  • Lead, manage, and train in systems transition efforts within multiple systems.
  • Manage the Operations Manager who handles the day-to-day details of Cincy Journeys.
  • Process applications and payments for Cincy Journeys.
  • Track, report, and analyze data for Cincy Journeys.
  • Manage the Data Systems Administrator.
  • Provide customer service and user support related to data operations, CRMs, and/or fundraising platforms.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis and research, translating information to stakeholders.
  • Manage donor database and grants management database.
  • Oversee reporting across the organization.
  • Ensure data hygiene.
  • Work closely with Development, Community Planning & Engagement, Jewish Community Relations Council, Finance, HR, and Marketing on donor relations and gifts management, acknowledgement letters, collections reporting for annual giving and endowments, and restricted endowment distributions.
  • Involve in Chai Committee and Marketing Operations.
