About The Position

The Senior Operations Manager will oversee the daily execution, resource allocation, and project timelines for a team of over 60 people. This role demands strong personnel management skills to lead a diverse workforce of employees and subcontractors, alongside project management expertise to ensure technical milestones are met on time, within budget, and in full compliance. The position requires a Secret Clearance and is located on-site in Lexington Park, MD.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience related to the functional duties of an Operations Manager.
• Master's degree (MA/MS).
• Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Ten (10) years of additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a Master’s degree.
• An associate’s degree plus eight (8) years of additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a Master’s Degree.
• Bachelor’s Degree plus four (4) years of additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a master’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations for a cross-functional team, ensuring alignment of resources to priorities across engineering, logistics, and programmatic efforts.
• Coordinate and deconflict team activities and schedules to meet customer requirements.
• Translate intent into actionable tasking, track progress, identify risks, and resolve issues across multiple functional areas.
• Ensure accountability, responsiveness, and adherence to program standards and expectations.
• Interface with government stakeholders and external partners to communicate status and ensure mission alignment.
• Support planning and execution of product integration, test, and deployment activities, including resource allocation, logistics coordination, and readiness tracking.
• Monitor program metrics and develop reports, briefings, and dashboards to inform leadership decision-making and program health.
• Implement process improvements to enhance team performance, communication, and execution.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, internal policies, and applicable DoD processes, including documentation, reporting, and configuration control.
• Supervise and mentor team members, building a cohesive, high-performing team environment.
• Proactively address risks related to schedule, personnel, technical integration, and customer engagement.
