About The Position

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is experiencing significant global growth and is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to join the Process Engineering team. This role is crucial for defining and executing the roadmap for the next generation of AMZL delivery stations. The successful candidate will own a process/product roadmap, drive end-to-end product delivery from inception to execution, and lead new product and process development for high-value programs. This position requires influencing senior leaders across multiple organizations and geographies, including Worldwide Engineering and Design, Worldwide Tech SME, Last Mile Delivery and Tech, Operations, Safety, and Supply Team. The role involves managing large, complex initiatives, navigating ambiguity, and advocating for the customer to shape the future of AMZL delivery stations.

Requirements

5+ years of directly managing and being responsible for multiple large projects.
5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
5+ years of maintenance or engineering experience.
3+ years of leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and field execution through launch readiness and go-live phases.
Bachelor's degree.
Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree or above in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or Business Administration, or Master's degree or above in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma, and other operations engineering tools.
Experience building launch readiness frameworks, standard work, playbooks, and scalable deployment mechanisms across multiple concurrent sites.
Experience with performance metrics such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), downtime, throughput, or quality.
Experience in Amazon RME (Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering), fulfillment operations, or automation deployment environments.
Experience working under pressure in a cross-functional organization.

Responsibilities

Initiate, define, plan, and manage the rollout of product features and enhancements for the next generation of AMZL Delivery Stations.
Collaborate closely with partner teams in Engineering, Tech, and Operations to build impactful products.
Identify new programs to onboard and integrate.
Lead the execution of the product with a high level of discipline and engagement with product development teams.
Present concepts, designs, program updates, and roadmaps to senior leadership frequently, utilizing strong written and verbal communication skills.
Hold partner teams accountable for the delivery of the project roadmap and own a part of the vision for the next-generation DS roadmap, including execution.
Meet defined milestones and delivery dates.
Drive a culture of innovation across the AMZL Process Engineering Organization.
Travel up to 25% based on business needs.
