About The Position

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is experiencing significant global growth and is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to join the Process Engineering team. This role is crucial for defining and executing the roadmap for the next generation of AMZL delivery stations. The successful candidate will own product/process roadmaps, drive end-to-end product delivery from inception to execution, and manage new product and process development for high-value programs. This position requires influencing senior leaders across multiple organizations and geographies, including Worldwide Engineering and Design, WW Tech SME, Last Mile Delivery and Tech, and Operations and Safety. The role involves managing large, complex initiatives, navigating ambiguity, and advocating for the customer to shape the future of AMZL delivery stations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience
  • 3+ years of leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and field execution through launch readiness and go-live phases experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or above in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or Business Administration, or Master's degree or above in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
  • Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools
  • Experience building launch readiness frameworks, standard work, playbooks, and scalable deployment mechanisms across multiple concurrent sites
  • Experience with performance metrics such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), downtime, throughput, or quality
  • Experience in Amazon RME (Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering), fulfillment operations, or automation deployment environments

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, define, plan and manage the roll out of the product features and enhancements for the next generation of AMZL Delivery Stations.
  • Work closely with partner teams in Engineering, Tech and Operations to build impactful products.
  • Identify new programs to onboard and integrate.
  • Lead execution of the product with high-level of discipline and engagement with the product development teams.
  • Present concepts, designs, program updates and roadmap to senior leadership on a frequent basis.
  • Hold partner teams accountable for delivery of project roadmap.
  • Own a part of the vision of the next generation DS roadmap, including execution. Meet defined milestones and delivery dates.
  • Drive a culture of innovation across the AMZL Strategic Planning and Process Engineering Org.
