If you are looking to build a strong career, we have an opportunity for you! We are searching for a Senior Operations Accountant to join our team located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.
As a Senior Accountant, Operations Accounting, you will support manufacturing and supply chain operations while helping advance Finance’s most valuable behaviors (MVBs) including: intellectual curiosity, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the details and stepping back to redesign processes for scale, efficiency, and reliability.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of related professional accounting experience with journal entries.
• Experience with large automated financial systems such as SAP or JDE.
• Proficient in MS Office, with high proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
• Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
• High level of attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Exercise sound judgment with the ability to take calculated risks and make risk/return recommendations.
• Ability to be discreet with confidential information.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
• Must be team-oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.

Nice To Haves

• MBA or other advanced degree.
• CPA Certification.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures used in the CPG industry.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key finance partner to Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Business Unit Finance teams
• Own and execute core operational accounting activities while continuously improving how the work gets done
• Apply technology, automation, and data-driven thinking to reduce manual effort, improve controls, and increase insight
• Identify trends, explain drivers, and translate data into actionable recommendations for stakeholders
