A Senior Operational Technology (OT) Strategy and Delivery Manager plays a critical role at the intersection of industrial operations and IT, ensuring that OT systems (e.g., manufacturing, utilities, plant controls) are effectively planned, modernized, secured, and delivered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 8+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership required.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems (ICS)
  • Experience with SCADA, PLCs, MES, IoT
  • Deep understanding of OT cybersecurity
  • Program/project management expertise
  • Ability to manage stakeholders across operations + IT
  • Strategic thinking combined with hands-on delivery focus
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Define the long-term vision and roadmap for OT systems aligned with business goals.
  • Assess current OT maturity and identify gaps (automation, digitization, security, reliability).
  • Drive initiatives such as Smart manufacturing / Industry 4.0, IoT integration.
  • Ensure alignment between IT strategy and OT strategy (IT/OT convergence).
  • Lead delivery of OT programs and projects.
  • Manage project timelines, scope, and budgets and cross-functional teams (engineering, IT, vendors).
  • Define and maintain OT architecture standards and frameworks.
  • Ensure consistent approaches across sites and assets.
  • Evaluate and select new OT technologies and vendors.
  • Ensure OT environments are protected against cyber threats.
  • Implement frameworks such as IEC 62443 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Oversee Network segmentation (IT vs. OT), vulnerability management, incident response planning.
  • Balance security with operational uptime.
  • Bridge the gap between enterprise IT systems and OT systems.
  • Enable data flow between production systems, ERP, analytics, and cloud platforms.
  • Collaborate with Plant operations, Engineering teams, IT departments, External vendors and system integrators.
  • Manage vendor performance and contracts.
  • Act as a translator between technical and business stakeholders.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives in industrial environments.
  • Manage organizational change: Adoption of new tools and processes, Training plant personnel.
  • Promote a data-driven, modern OT culture.
  • Develop and manage OT budgets (CAPEX and OPEX).
  • Prioritize investments based on Risk reduction, ROI, Business value.
  • Allocate resources across projects and sites.
