Senior Office & Facilities Coordinator

uniQureLexington, KY
$100,000 - $130,000Onsite

About The Position

uniQure is seeking a hands-on, service-oriented Sr. Office & Facilities Coordinator to own the day-to-day operation and upkeep of our Lexington office locations. This role is dedicated to office/administrative space - not lab or manufacturing areas - and is the go-to person ensuring our workplaces run smoothly, safely, and efficiently for employees every day. Sitting within Global Operations, you will manage the building relationship with our landlord(s), oversee vendors and contractors, and handle routine maintenance and office operations. You will also play a key role in supporting the company's space strategy - helping coordinate potential office expansions, tracking floor/space utilization, and helping shape our approach to flexible/on-demand office space as our workforce and needs evolve. This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable troubleshooting a facilities issue in the moment and thinking ahead about how our office footprint should grow and adapt.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in office/facilities management, ideally within a corporate, biotech, or life-sciences office environment
  • Experience managing landlord relationships, vendor contracts, and day-to-day building operations
  • Strong vendor negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple ongoing requests and projects
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable interfacing with employees at all levels, landlords, and external vendors
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with space planning concepts and flexible workspace/booking tools (e.g., desk/room booking or workplace management software) a plus
  • experience with CMMS or facilities/workplace management platforms a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with landlord(s)/property management for our Lexington office location
  • Manage building-operations items tied to the lease (access, building services, common-area issues, building notices) and escalate/resolve issues promptly
  • Track building-related service requests and ensure timely landlord follow-through
  • Source, onboard, and manage vendors and contractors supporting office operations (cleaning/janitorial, catering, waste/recycling, pest control, plants, office supplies, furniture, general maintenance, etc.)
  • Negotiate and monitor vendor contracts, service levels, and costs; ensure certificates of insurance and compliance documentation are current
  • Schedule and oversee routine and ad hoc maintenance work, punch-list items, and repairs
  • Own day-to-day office operations: supplies, mail/shipping, meeting room upkeep, and general office presentation
  • Act as the go-to resource for employees on facilities-related questions or issues; respond promptly to requests and complaints
  • Support office safety walk-throughs, emergency preparedness logistics, and coordination with EHS on office-level safety matters (fire drills, evacuation routes, ergonomic requests, etc.)
  • Track and report on office space utilization and occupancy trends across our Lexington location
  • Support planning and coordination of potential office expansion or relocation activities, including logistics, vendor coordination, and move management
  • Help develop and administer the company's approach to flexible/on-demand office space (e.g., desk/room booking systems, hoteling, flex-office strategy) to optimize utilization as headcount and hybrid-work patterns evolve
  • Partner with Operations, IT, and HR on space planning for new hires, team moves, and floor reconfigurations
  • Support development and tracking of the facilities operating budget for office locations; monitor vendor invoices and spend against budget
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, warranties, and facilities documentation
