About The Position

Encompass Health is hiring a Senior Occupational Therapist to provide compassionate, personalized occupational therapy to rehabilitation patients. The role focuses on helping patients move toward greater independence and an improved quality of life in a supportive, collaborative team environment with access to technology. The therapist provides direct patient care, supervises care and treatments, leads assessments, develops individualized care plans, and addresses patient concerns. Building relationships by understanding patients’ physical, mental, and emotional needs and recognizing their progress are also central to the position.

Requirements

• Current state license in Occupational Therapy.
• BLS (CPR) certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• At least two years of occupational therapy experience.

• Active on the Therapy Clinical Ladder when eligible.
• Specialty professional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy care to patients.
• Supervise care and treatments, lead patient assessments, create personalized care plans, and address patient concerns.
