About The Position

At Fiserv, the Enterprise Observability team delivers scalable monitoring, telemetry, analytics and observability solutions across critical applications and infrastructure. As a Senior Observability Architect, you will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of enterprise observability platforms utilizing Splunk, Dynatrace, Cribl, OpenTelemetry and automation solutions.

Requirements

10+ years in observability, monitoring, logging or platform engineering.
7+ years of Splunk engineering or architecture experience.
5+ years of Dynatrace administration experience.
3+ years with Cribl, OpenTelemetry or telemetry pipeline engineering.
7+ years of Linux administration experience.
5+ years of cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
5+ years of Ansible, Terraform, Python and JavaScript experience.

Nice To Haves

Splunk Architect, Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin, or related Splunk certifications.
Dynatrace Professional or Dynatrace Associate certification.
Experience implementing OpenTelemetry standards and instrumentation frameworks.
Experience with Kubernetes, container platforms, and cloud-native observability.
Experience supporting Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
Experience within highly regulated industries such as financial services, banking, healthcare, or technology.
Bachelors degree in IT or relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Design enterprise observability solutions across logs, metrics, traces and events.
Architect telemetry pipelines using Splunk, Dynatrace, Cribl and OpenTelemetry.
Lead Splunk and Dynatrace engineering, optimization and administration efforts.
Develop automation and observability cost optimization strategies.
Promote SRE, operational excellence, security and governance standards.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring across engineering teams.
