This is a part-time student nursing position designed to facilitate a transition into a nurse residency program. The intern will perform general patient care, including hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and continuous observation, under the direct guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role is specifically within the Trauma Med/Surg team, where patients have typically experienced traumatic events such as broken bones, torn ligaments or muscles, or head injuries. Responsibilities include working with corrective equipment, mobility devices, drains, wound care, and pain management. Nurses in this unit collaborate with trauma surgeons and are expected to validate telemetry rhythms.
