This is a part-time student nursing position designed to transition into a nurse residency program. The role involves performing general patient care, including hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and continuous observation, under the guidance and oversight of a Registered Nurse. The position is within the Trauma Med/Surg team, caring for patients who have experienced traumatic events such as broken bones, torn ligaments or muscles, and head injuries. Responsibilities include working with corrective equipment, mobility devices, drains, wound care, and pain management. Nurses on this unit round with trauma surgeons and are expected to validate telemetry rhythms.
