About The Position

Our client is seeking a Senior Nuclear IT Application Architect for a temporary contract position in Jupiter, FL. This role requires 100% onsite presence and involves designing, governing, and supporting enterprise business applications within the nuclear sector. The architect will lead architecture reviews, manage vendor risk assessments for system replacements, and ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory standards, particularly for AI platforms and new technologies like Gemini. Requirements

  • Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client's site in Jupiter, FL.
  • Experience with Enterprise application architecture design and governance (11+ years).
  • Experience with Application architecture reviews and impact assessments.
  • Experience with Vendor risk assessment and technical evaluation.
  • Experience with Document management system implementation.
  • Experience with Nuclear regulatory compliance documentation.
  • Experience with AI Platform architecture governance.
  • Experience with Bifrost credential/readiness requirements.
  • Experience with Gemini enablement.
  • Experience with API gateway migration (TYK).
  • Experience with Data pipeline/Change Data Capture (CDC).
  • Experience with Lakeflow Connect.
  • Experience with Databricks migration.
  • Experience with Open-source Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Experience with Cloud container services.
  • Experience with Architecture standards and decision records.
  • Experience with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) definition and monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Own architecture design, guidance and version-support for a suite of enterprise business applications, assessing upgrade impact, patches, and enablement requests.
  • Directly responsible for developing application architecture and leading architecture reviews, partnering with the enterprise architecture team to ensure alignment with corporate-level standards and guidance.
  • Lead vendor risk assessment and architecture review for a document management system replacement initiative, including capability gap analysis, ROM/proposal evaluation, and technical ownership through implementation.
  • Drive architecture governance and nuclear regulatory compliance for the Nuclear AI Platform strategy, covering Bifrost credential/readiness requirements and Gemini enablement.
  • Maintain and update nuclear regulatory compliance documentation as new platforms (e.g., Gemini) and processes are introduced.
  • Standardize and maintain the security onboarding process for contractors and non-US personnel supporting Nuclear IT engagements.
  • Lead architecture impact assessments for API gateway migrations (e.g., migration to TYK) affecting core nuclear business systems.
