About The Position

This role involves operating and maintaining CNC dicing machines and a flow test bench to produce high-quality nozzles. The Senior Nozzle Grinder will be responsible for making adjustments to CNC programs, performing flow and pattern testing, and using precision measuring instruments for inspection. The position requires a strong understanding of nozzle specifications, maintaining a safe work environment, and cross-training within the department. The role also involves facilitating training, assisting with procedures, and monitoring performance metrics. A key aspect of this role is the ability to read blueprints, determine critical values, and maintain a high level of attention to detail to achieve precise results.

Requirements

  • Certificate in machine shop technology or CNC machinist, preferably using precision grinding equipment.
  • Basic CNC programming and editing training.
  • Precision measuring instruments especially micrometers, microscopes and optical comparators.
  • Computer access skills.
  • Intermediate ability to read blueprints and determine critical values.
  • Attention to detail is crucial to achieve precise results.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ADT or other CNC tool and cutter grinding machines.
  • Strong understanding of various manufacturing methodologies for cutting and grinding.
  • Ability to contribute to a continuous improvement mind set.
  • Strong analytical, communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain production results utilizing CNC dicing machines and flow test bench.
  • Make changes to CNC programs when dicing operations do not comply with specifications.
  • Perform flow and pattern testing to ensure conformity.
  • Use microscope and micrometers for inspection, centering, and measuring of dicing results.
  • Access the computerized Nozzle Database for all specifications.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure a safe, clean working environment.
  • Cross-train within the department on various styles of nozzles.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Interact daily with other team members to ensure results are consistent.
  • Facilitate training and knowledge transfer within the department.
  • Assist in setting procedures and daily assignments.
  • Support and monitor performance metrics.
  • Other duties as assigned.
