Requirements

Responsibilities

Write a flagship daily evening newsletter that delves into the day’s most important or compelling news with a conversational yet journalistically rigorous approach, upholding CNN’s editorial standards.
Collaborate with a senior editor and newsletter team leadership to analyze audience insights and performance data, refining and iterating on the product as audience needs evolve.
Set and execute strategic goals for the newsletter that align with the audience organization’s mission.
Regularly pitch ideas for new features and rubrics in the newsletter to improve editorial quality and deepen audience loyalty.
Collaborate with off-platform and communications stakeholders to promote the newsletter and expose it to new audiences.
Potentially write or edit additional newsletters as bandwidth allows and as determined by manager.
