About The Position

NVIDIA is hiring a Senior Networking Software Architect to develop AI and data-center infrastructure by integrating NICs, GPUs, and network management into cohesive, high-performance solutions. The role is based in Santa Clara and focuses on the architecture of platforms for computing clusters and data centers, including solutions for AI training and inference and cloud-native workloads. The architect will coordinate with GPU, NIC, DPU, network management, and hardware platform teams to shape software and hardware designs.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in systems or platform architecture.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership or director-level role.
  • Strong knowledge of NIC/DPU architectures, GPU computing, and managing networks at large scale.
  • Demonstrated experience outlining and providing complex, multi-component platform solutions.
  • Ability to drive alignment across hardware, software, and product teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and drive innovative solutions for complex requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience directing large-scale, cross-functional engineering programs from architecture definition through delivery, with a history of delivering complex systems on schedule and at scale.
  • Familiarity with network management and orchestration frameworks such as UFM, DOCA, or Kubernetes networking.
  • Background defining platform standards or reference architectures adopted across the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Define and take responsibility for complete platform architecture covering NICs and network management for computing clusters and data centers.
  • Drive the strategic vision for coordinated platform solutions addressing AI training and inference and cloud-native workloads.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with GPU, NIC, DPU, and network management groups to ensure seamless hardware-software co-design.
  • Define platform-level software stacks, APIs, and management frameworks that orchestrate networking, compute, and acceleration resources.
  • Conduct and lead research into emerging network technologies, GPU-networking convergence, and large-scale cluster management.
  • Collaborate with hardware platform architects to define and communicate software requirements and ensure they are reflected in future hardware platform builds and architectural decisions.
