About The Position

This is a hybrid Senior Network Security assignment requiring three days onsite each week. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with an unpaid lunch. The assignment lasts three months. There is no holiday overtime or travel, and parking is not provided. Salary is commensurate with the scope of work and job experience.

The role calls for technical knowledge across the listed platforms, systems, and programming languages, along with experience designing customer-facing applications and running projects. Work includes preparing technical documents such as scopes of work, software requirements, and estimates. Prior knowledge of railroad operations and GIS or location-based data and systems is also sought.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudWatch, Docker, ActiveMQ, RDS/Postgres, Firebase, and Sentry.
• Knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and SQL.
• Prior working knowledge of railroad operations.
• Prior working knowledge of GIS or location-based data and systems, including Mapbox and ESRI.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field; demonstrated equivalent experience and education may be considered in lieu of the degree, subject to approval.
• Prior experience designing customer-facing applications.
• Prior experience running projects and writing technical documents, including scopes of work, software requirements, and estimates.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of React, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript for frontend work.
• Knowledge of React Native and Kotlin.
• Knowledge of SaaS providers including GitHub, GitLab, Sentry, Intercom, Airtable, and Expo.
