About The Position

Fiserv is hiring a senior technical engineer to support enterprise load balancing and DNS, with a strong focus on F5 and Citrix NetScaler technologies. The role leads the design, deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting of highly available infrastructure solutions and supports Fiserv’s government programs. The engineer partners with infrastructure, application, security, OEM, and vendor teams to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable solutions in a regulated financial environment. The position requires in-person collaboration and works a second-shift schedule. Candidates must possess U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent resident (Green Card) status. The role requires using a computer and audio equipment. The listed salary range of $128,000 to $216,000 applies to employees in New Jersey and New York; ranges in other states may differ. Incentive-eligible associates may be eligible for an annual incentive opportunity, potentially delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards.

Requirements

At least 8 years of experience in network, systems, infrastructure engineering, or a related field.
At least 6 years of experience with Citrix NetScaler and/or F5 design, deployment, and support.
At least 6 years of experience with technologies such as LTM, GTM, HA, GSLB, and content switching.
At least 4 years of DNS experience, such as BlueCat, DNSSEC, and F5 XC.
Experience troubleshooting complex financial, regulated, enterprise infrastructure environments.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, related experience, and/or military experience.
Must possess U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent resident (Green Card) status.
Ability to collaborate in person.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Python, Ansible, or other infrastructure automation tools.
Experience with multi-factor authentication solutions.
Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure migrations or modernization initiatives.
F5 certifications such as F5-CTS or F5-CSE.
Strong communication skills and experience working across technical teams, vendors, and business partners.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain critical local and global load-balancing infrastructure using Citrix NetScaler and F5 solutions.
Manage DNS infrastructure and configurations.
Design and implement load-balanced application configurations.
Provide technical leadership and design guidance to application teams.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and drive problems through resolution.
Lead platform upgrades, configuration changes, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
Develop and maintain configurations for virtual servers, certificates, policies, and related services.
Partner with application, infrastructure, security, OEM, and vendor teams on technical solutions.
Develop technical standards, documentation, and implementation procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve and automate infrastructure processes using tools such as Python and Ansible.
Provide technical guidance and share knowledge across engineering teams.
