About The Position

Kraft Group LLC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to maintain, implement, and troubleshoot networks. This role is responsible for maintaining and improving the sites’ network configurations and infrastructure, supporting voice and data facilities and services, and managing LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate with Media Production and Broadcast departments to provide network solutions, design and implement campus data network infrastructure, and coordinate with service delivery managers for operational improvements. Key responsibilities include configuring and operating Cisco Firewalls and Extreme and HP switches, managing enterprise data infrastructure architecture, analyzing network statistics for proactive enhancements, and configuring Cisco Firepower rule sets. The role also involves designing and assisting in project management for network and cabling changes, maintaining infrastructure as-builts, operating and supporting IP Fabric for Media network architecture using Cisco DCNM, Nexus, and Catalyst switching, and supporting standards like SMPTE 2110 and Dante/AES67. Additionally, the engineer will provide technical assistance for network and hardware implementations, perform on-site repairs, determine installation needs, communicate project progress, provide project management expertise, and manage external vendor initiatives. This position also requires responsibility for the creation, maintenance, and control of personally identifiable information and other confidential data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as a Network Administrator, Network Engineer or related.
  • Four (4) years of experience with Cisco routing and switching hardware platforms and associated network architecture.
  • Four (4) years of experience with TCP/IP, WAN technologies and routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF and EIGRP.
  • Four (4) years of experience to Configure and troubleshoot VPN technologies such as IPsec, DMVPN and GETVPN.
  • Four (4) years of experience to Utilize SNMP-based network monitoring systems such as SolarWinds or OpenNMS for Network.
  • Four (4) years of experience with Troubleshooting and proactive monitoring.
  • Four (4) years of experience with Configuration and administration of Cisco ASA and Firepower security appliances.
  • Four (4) years of experience with Embedded Linux systems and Linux RHEL systems administration.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, implement, and troubleshoot networks.
  • Maintain and improve the sites’ network configurations and infrastructure.
  • Support voice and data facilities and services, LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure.
  • Work with Media Production and Broadcast departments to understand requirements and provide network solutions.
  • Design, implement and support the campus data network infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with service delivery managers for improvement to existing operations.
  • Configure and operate Cisco Firewalls and Extreme and HP switches.
  • Manage enterprise data infrastructure architecture.
  • Analyze day-to-day and event-based network statistics to proactively engage with service delivery managers to continuously enhance existing operations.
  • Configure and maintain Cisco Firepower rule sets for security management.
  • Design and assist in project management and delivery of changes to network and structured cabling equipment.
  • Maintain infrastructure as-builts as a component of the defined project management and corporate change management records retention process.
  • Operate and support IP Fabric for Media network architecture, leveraging Cisco’s Data Center Network Manager (DCNM) for media fabric, Nexus and Catalyst switching infrastructure and standards such as SMPTE 2110 and Dante/AES67 audio networking.
  • Provide technical assistance with network, communication, and hardware implementations.
  • Perform on-site visits to repair and/or troubleshoot issues.
  • Determine physical installation needs and services required for most efficient business operations.
  • Communicate with supervisors on project progress reporting and integration timeframes.
  • Provide project management expertise in the execution of initiatives and implementations.
  • Manage external vendor service and implementation initiatives.
