About The Position

Client is seeking a Network Engineer to architect, deploy, and support IT and operational technology infrastructure for a mission-critical semiconductor manufacturing site in Richardson, Texas. This role will support Cisco-based LAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and IoT communications while developing secure network solutions that enable manufacturing automation, equipment integration, fault detection, and advanced process control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise and industrial network infrastructure in manufacturing or site environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking, routing, and switching equipment.
  • Strong factory-floor networking experience at Level 2/3 OT and experience integrating with Level 3.5/4 IT networks.
  • Experience with firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, subnetting, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, NAT, routing, and switching.
  • Experience implementing high availability, redundancy, and Quality of Service protocols.
  • Experience with network segmentation, resilience, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Experience with DevOps-oriented network operations, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring pipelines, version control, or automated deployment.
  • 2+ years of PowerShell scripting experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with a service management platform such as ServiceNow.
  • Ability to document network architecture, configurations, automation scripts, and operational procedures.

  • Advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with Cisco, Arista, Dell, Palo Alto, or other multi-vendor network environments.
  • Experience with Tanium, Chef, network patching, or security-hardening practices.
  • Experience with Rubrik, Veeam, Commvault, Zerto, or similar data protection and recovery platforms.
  • Knowledge of IT/OT convergence, industrial protocols, SCADA systems, MES platforms, and manufacturing equipment integration.
  • Experience supporting Windows-based manufacturing computers and servers.
  • Knowledge of industrial network architectures, DMZs, secure remote access, layered network models, and redundant topologies.
  • Semiconductor manufacturing infrastructure experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support for physical and virtual manufacturing and site network infrastructure.
  • Support network communications ranging from the corporate SD-WAN environment through factory equipment, tools, sensors, and IoT devices.
  • Design, develop, and deploy Special Use Networks to segment and isolate mission-critical manufacturing operations from the corporate network.
  • Support Cisco-based LAN, WLAN, routing, switching, firewall, and network monitoring technologies.
  • Migrate the site from a global authentication model to a site-level domain controller authentication model.
  • Partner with process, equipment, manufacturing, and factory systems engineering teams to enable equipment integration and automation.
  • Troubleshoot network performance and communication issues across IT and OT architecture layers.
  • Implement switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, monitoring tools, and other network technologies.
  • Support network resilience, redundancy, disaster recovery, high availability, and Quality of Service.
  • Collaborate with corporate IT and security teams to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.
  • Monitor network health, capacity, availability, and performance.
  • Maintain network topology diagrams, configuration records, automation scripts, and change logs.
