The Consultant will install, configure, and maintain client-owned networking and telecommunications equipment for the client's standalone Security Network, in coordination and close cooperation with client's Security Service Contract Integrator and Telecommunication. The Consultant will schedule and coordinate installations and upgrades to networking and telecommunications infrastructure equipment with client’s Security Service Contract Integrator and Telecommunication. The Consultant will monitor network and equipment telemetry and performance metrics and will request changes to achieve optimum levels of performance. The Consultant will evaluate, implement, and manage solutions –hardware and software – to ensure availability and integrity of both communications and data (including storage, backup, and retrieval), for all workstation, server, and network devices. The Consultant will develop, document, and communicate standard operating procedures. The Consultant will maintain asset information and network diagrams across the Security Network. The Consultant will ensure compliance with MWRA Information Technology and Security Policies. The Consultant will incorporate long-term network, operations, and administration requirements and improvements into Security Network planning documents. Assistance will be required for 1950 hours over a period of 12 months. Additionally, occasional assistance may be required outside of typical business hours, (nights, weekends and holidays). 100 hours of overtime are provisioned for those potential events.
