About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and managing enterprise network architectures across various environments including datacenter, campus, branch, cloud, and multi-tenant setups. The ideal candidate will create scalable, secure, and reliable network solutions, lead engineering efforts from conception to implementation, and evaluate emerging technologies. You will manage complex multi-vendor environments, design solutions for routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, security, and cloud networking, and define standards for network infrastructure. This position involves leading major network transformations, serving as an escalation point for critical incidents, performing advanced troubleshooting, and developing proactive monitoring strategies. You will also drive improvements in reliability, availability, and performance, and implement network automation solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies. Additionally, you will design and implement network security architectures, lead remediation efforts, provide guidance on security initiatives, support audit programs, and mentor junior engineers. The role requires technical leadership, participation in roadmap planning, and interfacing with various stakeholders including executive leadership, project teams, vendors, and customers. You will translate business requirements into technical solutions, lead customer design sessions, and support business development activities. Finally, you will identify opportunities for service expansion and optimization, and support upsell initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or qualification in an IT related discipline or equivalent technical and business experience.
  • 7+ years of enterprise networking experience.
  • CCNP certification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong expertise in routing, switching, wireless, and network design principles.
  • Strong experience supporting firewalls and VPN technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, and BGP.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud networking.
  • Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
  • Experience with network automation (Powershell, Python, Ansible, Terraform).
  • Experience in a managed services or service provider environment.
  • Network device firmware management.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across OS, storage, and network layers.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing technical environment.
  • Ability to coach other members of team in their area of expertise.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with all team members and end-users.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency.
  • Customer-facing presentation and consulting skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
