About The Position

Acclaim Technical Services (ATS) is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to join their Mission Technology and Solutions Business Unit in Chantilly, VA. ATS, founded in 2000, is an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company that provides language, operations, and technology services to U.S. Federal agencies. The Senior Network Engineer will be part of a team responsible for the design, migration, implementation, enhancement, optimization, and maintenance of LAN/WAN/Video/Voice/desktop infrastructure. This role requires creative problem-solving and independent judgment to develop unique network solutions. Responsibilities include maintaining and upgrading network hardware and software, ensuring network availability, developing new network designs, assessing network management architecture, documenting architecture, developing and conducting test plans, and supporting upgrades and unique problem resolution. Limited CONUS travel (no more than 5%) is expected.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • BS/BA degree with 8+ years of prior relevant experience, or additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Hands-on experience in network engineering and network administration.
  • Experience performing network engineering or network administration functions on programs of similar size, scope, and complexity.
  • Cisco and Juniper Architecture experience required.
  • Ability to lead others and clearly convey complex technical concepts.
  • Proven leadership skills in a complex technical environment with tight security restrictions and a diverse work force (4+ years of experience).

Responsibilities

  • Develop technical solutions to issues that may be unclear and require deep technical knowledge.
  • Utilize various data sources, network monitoring tools, and deep analysis of network data to understand issues and inform solutions.
  • Evaluate network service requests and validate/triage unique inquiries.
  • Analyze existing and future network infrastructure and provide solutions requirements.
  • Maintain network hardware and software, including network layer communications providing transport.
  • Monitor network to ensure availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance.
  • Create and update network infrastructure documentation.
  • Assist with the development of network architecture and roadmaps.
  • Support design, design documentation, factory testing, and integrations of network infrastructure.
  • Be responsible for installations, upgrades, support assistance, and problem determination for operating systems, network hardware, and software products.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify short- and long-term priorities, including multi-year road maps, five-year program and spending plans, strategic network upgrades, process efficiencies, strategic communications, and O&M frameworks.
