About The Position

CACI’s Enterprise IT (EIT) Sector is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in support of an Air Force Modernization program. As a Senior Network Engineer, you’ll support infrastructure modernization of unclassified and classified base area networks to include site survey, design and installation activities across wired, wireless, broadband and ISP/OSP. This is a senior role with multi-disciplined network experience across wired, wireless, and mobile broadband solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education + experience (HS diploma or associate’s degree with 10+ years performing as a Manager in DoD supporting large, complex networks)
  • Direct experience managing Air Force Base Area Networks
  • DoD 8140 IAT II Baseline Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or CCNA-SEC); CCNP or CCDP or equivalent
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience managing telecommunications and/or data center projects

Responsibilities

  • Support the creation of network architectures, topology diagrams, and data flow artifacts (Visio) for wired, wireless, and mobile broadband solutions, focusing on high availability and performance.
  • Work with engineering team on site surveys in the design of modernized network architecture.
  • Design, implement, and document secure network architectures, including STIG checklists, port/protocol/service documentation, and Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) in compliance with DAF and DoD RMF standards.
  • Support the deployment of network management tools (SNMP, SYSLOG, orchestration) and coordinate with local Communication Squadrons.
  • Perform, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues.
  • Provide Tier 3 support to Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams.
  • Ensure all installations meet industry safety standards and operational cleanliness, restoring sites to original or better condition.
