About The Position

Anduril Industries is seeking a Network Engineer for its Network Team, focused on factory systems and operational technology (OT) infrastructure. The role designs, deploys, and maintains network systems for manufacturing environments, partnering with Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Security, and IT to keep factory networks reliable and secure and aligned with ISA-95 and Purdue Model standards. This is a hands-on position involving site walks, surveys, hardware installation, inventory management, procurement planning, and coordination of equipment for factory deployments. The engineer supports production spaces and remote facilities, including production-line buildouts, machine onboarding, and control-system integration. The role also provides on-call support and escalation assistance for production and OT network incidents.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of enterprise or OT network engineering experience, with ability to lead deployments with minimal guidance.
  • Hands-on experience conducting site surveys and field installations, and building factory or industrial networks.
  • Familiarity with ISA-95 and Purdue Model segmentation for OT environments.
  • Proficiency with Cisco, Arista, and Palo Alto platforms, including Panorama and NGFW.
  • Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, wireless systems, and firewall policy management.
  • Understanding of industrial protocols such as Modbus/TCP, Ethernet/IP, and PROFINET, including awareness of how to secure them.
  • Experience with datacenter or private-cloud networking such as EVPN VXLAN.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in production or construction environments as needed.
  • Ability to travel to remote sites for installation and support.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with industrial networking platforms such as Rockwell Stratix, Hirschmann, or Moxa.
  • Experience in environments that blend IT and OT security practices.
  • Familiarity with Arista or Aruba hardware.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
  • Experience with Python, Nornir, Jinja, Ansible, or Terraform for automation.
  • Background supporting rapid-growth factory or manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site walks and surveys to assess network needs, validate capacity, and plan manufacturing-space installations.
  • Design and implement secure, segmented factory and OT network architectures based on ISA-95 and Purdue Model principles.
  • Install, configure, and support routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, and industrial networking devices.
  • Support manufacturing buildouts, including new production lines, machine onboarding, and control-system integration.
  • Perform cabling validation, equipment racking and placement, and physical-layer troubleshooting.
  • Manage network equipment inventory across facilities, including tracking, forecasting, and ordering hardware.
  • Handle procurement of networking components and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain documentation for network topology, cabling, VLAN and IP assignments, and inter-zone communication flows.
  • Implement and manage security controls, including segmentation, ACLs, firewalls, and intrusion detection or prevention.
  • Monitor network performance and perform proactive maintenance to support production and automation system stability.
  • Provide on-call support and escalation assistance for production and OT network incidents.
  • Travel to remote facilities for surveys, installations, and infrastructure upgrades.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers.
  • Top-tier benefits for full-time employees, described as comprehensive and competitive and available at little to no cost to employees. These include support for health and recovery.
